The Boreas planter originated from the base section of a tall, two part ‘Arabian Oil Jar’ unearthed at the summer studio of Eric Soderholtz (concrete potter circa early 1900’s) in Gouldsboro Maine. See ‘Reed Jar’ in urn section.

The inverted conical body has a slight reverse curve in the side profile as it nears the foot. The rim is entirely flat.
